(Abstract: WHAT IS SOCIO-CULTURAL ANIMATION - Epistemology and values - The objective of this book consists in clarifying what socio-cultural animation is all about, its epistemological perspective, as well as its scientific construction. It also aspires, to train professionals and volunteers linked to the social field of education and to socio-cultural animation and in this way, to improve its daily practice.
The proposal of the authors is that the readers deepen in the different conceptions of socio-cultural animation, analyse its character and achieve a clearer vision of what it is and what it means. They also present its anthropological, sociological and psychological foundations, as well as the principles and values that promote them.
