In addition to the generation of knowledge, educating people is the main raison d’être of Rovira i Virgili University. The ability to take on change has to be an inherent element in the way the University operates. This ability revolves around a very important need at a time when society demands different responses to new challenges that the University has to meet. In the same way, we have to exercise the responsability of social and intellectual leadership, which must characterise higher education institutions. From the progressive deployment of the URV Strategic Teaching Plan, the introduction of a new teaching model with recognised quality has been derived, in which everybody (students, teachers and managers) is identified and works together to meet the challenges set.1
