Desperate for some security, in the center of his fresher year of high school, he relocated to Houston to cope with his older brother, Randy Clemens. From a young age, Clemens showed the kind of physical drive that he would certainly hold throughout his professional baseball job. He exercised continuously, sticking to a strenuous routine of weightlifting, calisthenics and running that he would definitely established himself. At Springtime Woods High School, Clemens was good enough to be the group's number 2 pitcher, nonetheless went undrafted upon finishing in 1980.
