Although my son Owen doesn't remember the day he was born, he likes to tell others about it because he was born in a foreign country. With dual citizenship and two birth certificates, he is a child who has an interesting story to tell. We love to tell the story, as most families do. Imagine how much God loves to tell the story of the day He created the world! God remembers the days He spent forming the world, carefully and intentionally putting each creature in the new environment, and purposefully speaking every living thing into being. Just as our parents describe our first moments to anyone who asks, our Father in heaven has preserved our world's birth story for all generations in His Word. The scrapbook of humanity's journey hold the earth's story in high esteem, sharing the details of creation before any other truth. Our parents were present at the beginning of our lives, and God was present at the birth of creation. The gift of the earth's story is available to all nations through the first pages of Scripture.
