Review

This book caught me by surprise. It introduces an unlikely heroine - Amy -and tells the story of her capture and imprisonment by goblins. What makes it all come alive is the way the author has created a new world for Amy and for us, all in fascinating detail. I suppose it is the mark of a good book that we can believe in it without forcing ourselves, and this one certainly convinced me. I like the mixture of strangeness and familiarity, and found the plot kept me turning pages without a break. A really good read. ~ Jacqueline George0
