The story is about a little boy named Randy Hill and his dog Shags. When Randy learns that the President of the United States is coming to his town he decides that he wants to meet and shake hands with the President. Everyone tells Randy that only important people meet with the President, but Randy stays firm that he wants to shake hands with the President. On the day of the parade when the President is driving through town Randy's dog Shags runs away. At the parade the presidents hat fly's off his head and Shags runs after the hat and catches it, allowing Randy to meet the President and in fact shake his hand.0
