Argumento de Sentido del Arraigo: Perspectivas Transatlánticas
In an age of mobility, and multilocal belonging, sense of place and its adaptations are relevant to environmental issues. The book brings together essays from scholars in Spain and the United States on the literary and artistic depiction of places and our relationship with them in a changing world. They ask, on the one hand, what literature, art, films and museums tell us about shifting forms of place attachment and belonging, and alienation from place, and, on the other, what roles the arts play in challenging common assumptions, opening up new perspectives, and contributing to the goals of an environmentally inflected place-based education.0
