Dr. Maki Agarwal {M.A. (English), Gold Medallist, M.Ed., Silver Medallist, Ph.D. }, is working as Reader and Head Department of English in N.A.S. College, Meerut. She has been teaching English in N.A.S. College for last 37 years. She has authored several books such as Professional Communication, Objective English for Competitions, Communication Lab and Remedial English Language. Besides, she has edited three anthologies New Perspectives in Indian English Writings, English Literature: Voice of Indian Diaspora and Redefining the Self: Women in Post-colonial Indian English Writings (In Press). She has successfully guided more than a dozen research scholars and has published a good number of research papers in national and international journals.
Dr. Beena Agarwal is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of English Studies, D.S. College, Aligarh. She has to her credit several articles and research papers published in the leading research journals and anthologies published in India. She has also to her credit a critical comprehensive study of the plays of Tagore entitled The Plays of Rabindranath Tagore : A Thematic Study. Her second book, published in 2008 is the first full length indepth study of the plays of Mahesh Dattani entitled Mahesh Dattani : A New Horizons in Indian Theatre. The detailed study of the novels and short stories of Shashi Deshpande entitled Mosaic of the Fictional World of Shashi Deshpande came out in 2009. Several research scholars have completed their projects and thesis for M.Phil. and Ph.D. under her supervision. Her areas of interest are Indian English Literature, Gender Studies, Indian Diaspora, Post-colonial Studies and Dalit Literature.
