This play takes place along the Road to Santiagothe famous pilgrimage site in the north of Spainduring the fifteenth century. It is a Saint James year, special because the Saints day falls on a Sunday. Caín, Eutropio, and Leonardo, itinerant actors, arrive with all their things and are busy arranging their rehearsals and preparing their upcoming performance, which is to take place the following day.
