Martin Foulkes, Jades granddad

My granddad, Martin Foulkes, is my inspiration. He is the one who set me on the path to Olympic gold. He could see that I was getting a bit cheeky and mischievous as a small child and he wanted me to learn to defend myself and keep me off the streets. He also wanted to make sure that I had a good start and learnt respect, so, when I was eight years old, he took me to the local taekwondo club in my home town of Flint, north Wales the rest, as they say, is history!0
