Argumento de El Parque Enfermo
The trees in the Park are feeling ill and weak and have lost almost all their leaves. The cause of such a sorry state of affairs is the neglect with which they are treated by people: rubbish is dumped just anywhere, children play with the trees´ branches, etc. The person most concerned about the deterioration of the Park is Floro de gardener, who decides to inform the Major of the town so that he can take the necessary measures. But the Major does not know how to remedy the situation. Next, Floro turns to Matías, the local doctor, since after all the underlying problem is the illness that the trees are suffering. After listening to the trees with his stethoscope, Matías declares that the roots have been weakened by all the rubbish and waste that is scattered here and there. In his opinion, the Park is inevitably going to die.1
